The etymology of training comes from the Latin word Trahere which means to pull or draw. In a training the activites are pulling or drawing out your wisdom and genius. Your soul is drawn onto the paper and you are drawn out of yourself to see your own wisdom. You are being pulled onto the dance floor of life through a training.
Training also is connected to a locomotive and a line of transport vehicles, think train cars. You are making connections between the train car neurons in your brain and body to travel to different, previously unexplored places. Let the training take you someplace different. Isn’t it true that when we learn something new, especially when we learn a lot related to a specific field, we end up in a different place than when we started. When we learn new things we are changed, our perspective shifts, and thus what we observe in our world changes. It’s like shifting our reality, traveling while standing still. Similarly, training is also connected to a line of traveling people. Imagine the long line of people who connected and procreated in order for you to be here now. Training connects you to your ancestral lineage’s wisdom.
Training as a noun related to the trailing part of a robe. The place of the robe worn by royals that did not discriminate, touched the earth, and collected a little piece from everywhere the wearer went. By touching the earth, the robe connected those who wore robes to everyone else and everything else in our earthly relations. I think about a training as a way to honor everyone and everything on this earth as equal.
Because we are all equal. And when we take the wellbeing of others as part of ourselves, when we embody the inherent connection we have with everything, we are supported and everything else is supported too. Nature is not separate from us. When we start taking the birds, trees and plants as our extended family we begin understanding that tending to our gardens, planting bushes and trees that provide food for our winged friends is also providing food and shelter for a part of ourselves. When we repopulate our lawns with native grasses and flowers, we are repopulating some wildness within ourselves.
These trainings are drawing out your wildness, drawing out the parts of you that have been so long forgotten, so long grown over with manicured lawns and street lights, that you also forgot you had a natural genius quietly residing within you. Our education system does it’s best, yet it cannot honor your genius fully, only you can listen to the quiet voice within and bring it to life by listening to it more and more and more. All activities within all the trainings offered at Wild Free Woman's Dancing Moon Mystery School are an invitation for you to listen to and move from the place of wild genius within.
Could you imagine a world where we each listened and acted from the place of our own wild genius? Look to the natural wild world to see the regenerative and self-balancing systems that are created when we each move as we are. When we let our wisdom be drawn out of us through our creatives practices, daily movements, chores and relationships.
So, these trainings provide you framework to live out your own genius, beyond a right and a wrong answer. Because only you can explore, learn and fine-tune your natural wild wisdom. The activities within all trainings offered here give you constant opportunity to pull out your soul wisdom, look at it and relate to it, and eventually to embody it, proudly, fiercely.
As Rumi said “out beyond ideas of right doing and wrongdoing there is a field, and I will meet you there”
